Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Honey Perkel Trusting the Heart will be released late fall of 2017. I was inspired to write this historical novel by an email I received two years ago from a reader in Hamburg, Germany. She had just read A Thousand Summers and come across the name of her American-born mother who had been missing for 50 years. She wondered if I might have known her mother. Sadly, I had to tell her "no". She gave me a few more details and I created a world around these fascinating characters.
