If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?

Julia Herdman Gosh that's such a good question. Most of the past was pretty awful especially for women. My head says choose some time after 1945 because at least there were antibiotics then. I would probably be dead myself without them. But my heart which is a raging political beast when it has its own way would say the inter-war years. That is the time between the Great War and the Second World War. I really admire women such as Vera Brittain and Winifred Holtby who wrote and campaigned so elegantly on the subjects of equality and peace. I would have liked to have been with them. So perhaps South Riding. Julia.
