I am usually against watching movies before books, but for wordy books, like this one this really helps, so you can understand the basic plot. This really helped when I first read "Pride and Prejudice" Plus as you continue reading the language gets easier. The best interpretation is the 1995 BBC and Masterpiece six-part mini series. Although, if you want more modern very simple language, you might go for the "Lizzie Bennett Diary's" which you can find on Youtube. (less)
