How do I understand the language in Pride and Prejudice? I'm 13 and we haven't studied it in school but I would like to read it for fun but I can't understand even the first page! Can someone please help me out!

If you really do want to read it, try using SparkNotes. Try reading one chapter first, and get a general idea of what is going on, and THEN, use SparkNotes to clarify. You might now know word for word, but you at least will get a better idea of what is going on. SparkNotes is not perfect and can be vague (and some people find it lame), but just try it out if you really do not have a single clue of what the book is saying. And I for one used dictionary.com religiously on a few of the vocabulary.(less)
