Dalinar is the one having the flashbacks and we see a very different side to him.

Yeah, since Oathbringer is the title I believe the focus of Book 3 is going to be on Dalinar. So, we will be seeing his flashbacks and I believe book 4 flashbacks are going to be on Eshonai from WoR. I remember a post where he was unsure whether book 3 was going to be on Dalinar or Eshonai but as he started writing he confirmed Dalinar for book 3. Either way it's going to be excellent

In one of sandersons posts he said he wasn't sure Szeth was going to be the charchter with flashbacks, which would make sense with the changing title

To me he seemed to have been forgiven much too easily. I hope he attones for what he did. As if feeling bad about murder makes it okay.
