Goodreads asked Jennifer St. Giles:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Jennifer St. Giles I recently wrote a short story for my Exposed Series. It will come out in Asylum Archives Vol. 2. The first novel in the series came out last year. Kaylee's Justice. I came up for paranormal siblings who use their gifts to fight crime a number of years ago (about 13 years), but my New York publisher wasn't interested in the idea. My heroine, a True Crime writers uses her empathic abilities to write her books and expose killers.
The idea for the short story titled The Dead Rise came when I heard about 7000 unmarked graves discovered on the grounds of a college that used to be a mental asylum. I couldn't resist! Ideas kidnap me and wont let me go until I pay the ransom in a story.
