Where did you find the names you used for the Jesuit priests? None of them sound portuguese. And why not make the spanish the bad guys, since Portugal was under Spain's rule at the time?

Based on my research, I used names from that period so they should be authentic. Also it was the Portuguese Jesuits who were make in-roads into Japan at that time, not the Spanish, so I stayed true to history for that part of the Young Samurai series.
