Meg Lelvis My take was that she was stopped from shooting herself, and ended up in the psychiatric hospital. The only thread of hope she had left was the long lost daughter, and Agatha creates her own reality in expecting her to visit.
But the comment below about the inability to form new memories is food for thought!
