I find that my characters need a quiet, open place to be. So I need to make my mind that place. Fill it with fun things to play with, good lighting, lots of air. Which, perhaps not coincidentally, is also good for me.

I was TICKLED PINK to hear the mention of COUNTRY BUNNY/GOLDEN SHOES in School of Essential! Is it a personal favorite of ours, like it is for me? My children's librarian heart smiled from EAR TO EAR. Such an undervalued story ... and I am amazed it hasn't had a resurgence with such a feminist theme!
