Susan answers “I don't understand the ending. The book...”

I don't understand the ending. The book leaves you up in the air as to what happens with Ari Thor and his love life. Does he move away from Kristin who now seems to want him? Or does he move ahead with Ulga? The book leaves you completely confused about this . Can someone help.

I listened to the book which I would not recommend as a way tor read this particular story.First of all the Scandinavian names would confuse me and then the segments that seemed unrelated to the current story. For sample, the woman trapped in her house with a killer. Listening I could not refer back so I could not tell who the woman was or when it was happening. And the entire Carl thing! Was he a murderer too?? That all threw me.

Maybe if I had actually read it i would have had a better idea of what was going on and what was happening to the characters. Too many unanswered questions....(less)
