I'm juggling a handful of new projects at the moment, one of which is a handful all on its own: my next novel, which is loosely based on my experiences serving in the US Coast Guard in my early 20s. I'd love to tell you more about it, but it's really too early in the process; I don't yet have a handle on what kind of book it'll eventually turn out to be.
I'm also working on a couple of short fiction pieces. One of them is an expanded version of "Fantastic Atlas," the ultra-short I read at the Basement Series back in June, and another is set in London in July 2005 (the week terrorists bombed the Underground).
