How do you get inspired to write?

G.A. Miller I have a vivid imagination, and enjoy engaging the "What If?" engine about simple, commonplace occurrences. For example, I have a story titled "Shower Time", which will be appearing in an anthology from Patrick Reuman this fall, where a man steps into his shower, in his home, and steps out into another place entirely, another person entirely...and not the person you'd want to switch places with at all. Once I get the idea, I begin writing and let the story lead me to where it wants to go.
