Hi, Mrs. Crosby! I am interested in reading THE SUMMER STAR & was wondering if it is a stand-alone book or if it is a continuation of THE WINTER STONE? In other words can you read the 2nd without reading the first or will you be lost? Eventually, I want to read both...but for now? Thanks! -Tara

Tanya Anne Crosby Hi T! You definitely can read The Summer Star without reading the Winter Stone. They are similar, but more companion books than sequels. My story in the summer star is also part of my Guardians series, and although you might wish to know more about some of the characters, it's also a stand alone from the series as well.
