Becky asked Glynnis Campbell:

Do you ever get to a point in a book you are writing and think to yourself "this makes no sense, ... people won't read this"? I find myself at this point a few times a month and I'm not sure if I should scrap the book/idea, or just a chapter or two.

Glynnis Campbell Yes--with almost every book! That's the point where you have to back away, let it breathe, and come at it from a different angle or with a different idea. It might mean scrapping the last chapter, changing the plot, changing the POV, adding/eliminating a character, or changing the mood, but if the story isn't working for you, it isn't going to work for the reader. If you're passionate about the book/idea, it's worth pursuing. You just may have to be flexible about the path you take. Good luck!
