Bob asked Emilie Autumn:

hi emilie, at 67, i may be your oldest plague rat. i was introduced to your music several years ago. you've stayed on my radar ever since and i've enjoyed listening to your music and viewing what i can on youtube. the new ebook made reading your book finally affordable to me and i thank you for that. my question is, do you think your work will always be rooted in the victorian era and the asylum experience?

Emilie Autumn Hello dearest Bob!
You might be surprised at how many Plague Rats are about your age, 67 is quite young after all:)!
I am so grateful and honored by your continued support over the years, and for still enjoying what I do, even as I evolve and change. Many audiences do not allow an artist to do those things peacefully, so thank you indeed.

Yours is such a fantastic question, because it is true that I have worked within the Asylum world for 10 years now, and am still very much immersed, largely because it continues to grow. I know that I will never leave it, and I will always feel myself an Inmate (in the best possible way), I will absolutely create novels and other works outside of that storyline. While all efforts must be spent on the Asylum musical and film at this time, I so look forward to being able to show you other worlds and eras. Please stay with me, and you will meet them in good time;).
All my love,
EA
P.S. If you love the new book, I would be honored if you would leave it a review - it means so much!
