Dodi asked Natasha Knight:

I loved your book "Dominic" so much. It's really an awesome dark book ! I just have a question about a scene in it I didn't understand : The church scene when Dominic went to his father's funeral with Gia and the phones start ringing among some of his allies. What did this scene mean ? and what did Dominic really do for the auction ?

Natasha Knight Hi Dodi, I never see these questions unless I pop on GR so apologies for my late reply! First, so so glad you loved Dominic! I bled for that man and honestly, I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

There was a single sentence where Dominic was talking to Salvatore in the chapter/scene prior to the church where he says something like "I took care of it" (I can't remember honestly if he's more up front about what he did). He basically called in the auction to the authorities so the feds showed up just as the auction began and the men who received calls at the church were men who had soldiers at the auction who would have gotten away. Although Dominic was pretty sure to begin with, this proved his uncle's involvement.

Hope this helps. If not, you're free to email me!
