I've just finished your last Greatcoats book. I gotta say, I feel like I miss those guys already, and I can wait for your next book about them. Do you have a draft or something already planned for them? And if so, will it continue where this book left off, or would it be a story as a spin-off or prequel?

Hi Aresius,
My current plan is for new characters to take the stage and deal with the events that follow Tyrant's Throne. However nothing's written in stone (or even written on paper) at this point as there are still negotiations going on and, most importantly, I haven't decided on the core focus of a second series. While I'd want it to still sit within the genre of swashbuckling adventure, it needs to explore new ground rather than simply repeat the themes of the first series. It will certainly be a spin-off rather than a prequel, however. I can't envision writing a whole series of prequels as it would seem a bit difficult to make the books dramatic given we know what happens later (it's possible that this is just because I really don't know how to write prequels.)
I expect to have an announcement in the next couple of months which will hopefully provide some insight on the future of the Greatcoats!

What is your first fantasy book of memory? And what is your favorite fantasy book of all time?

This is more of a begging post than a question.... Please, will you write a book about Ugh? Yes, I read all the way to the back ;) I love Ugh as did my BR group for books 1-3 for Greatcoats. I think a book about his life would be most excellent and all Ugh's fans would read it. You can't bring a character like Ugh into a book and drop a tidbit about him and not expect your GC followers not to want more !
