This might be a weird question, but are there any queer characters (even mentioned in passing) in this book/series? I don't know if I'd like to read it if it's not very diverse.

Heather I have not read far enough along in this series yet to say, but I do remember a Lesbian couple in the Seven Realms series that was close to her main characters. So I would say there is a good chance of it being diverse. Maybe once I have gotten further along, I can say for sure if no one else has responded.
