Dear Mr Rankin, I'm a big fan of crime and detective stories. I lived in Glasgow and Edinburgh during my post grad years and read many of the Inspector Rebus novels. Was wonderful to read a series that was based in the area I lived in. Having written many novels, who are your favorite authors and who inspires you, now? Thank you
