Goodreads asked Clemens P. Suter:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Clemens P. Suter Some authors say, “I don't have writer's block.” I used to think they just said that to be cool. Then I realized that you don't forget how to write if you haven't forgotten how to put words on paper. The block is doubt. I have learned to ignore doubt so I can keep writing. I still doubt, but I write anyway. If I still like a story, I can make it work. There is no point in deciding whether it is good before it is finished. I would be lying if I said I didn't have doubts. I have writer's block too. But when that happens, I just say, “Screw it!” I tried, I have a stack of pages here, so if my muse isn't working today, I'm not working either. It can wait.
