How often are you able to get to Scotland to do research and renew your inspiration?

Not often enough! I sometimes wish I could take a summer off and just live there. I manage to make a trip once every few years, and you're right--it does renew my inspiration! I always try to schedule in lots of research appointments with museum docents, visits to pertinent areas, and photo shoots of the landscape. But there's something to be said for just hanging about to soak up the Scottish ambience.
