Where do you find inspiration for historical periods, events or people to build your stories around? And what is your favorite time period? I won a copy of The Alice Network from Goodreads. I devoured it and have been recommending it to all my friends!

Thanks, so glad you enjoyed it! I can't narrow down my favorite historical period to just one; there are too many I adore. Maybe top three would be the Renaissance, Imperial Rome, and Victorian era? As for inspiration, it's generally some historical event or figure who grabs me; an event or person so interesting and different that I want to start crafting a story around them. Then I read everything I can find on the subject, and the story slowly comes into place around the bones of the history.

I just came across your books, and am absolutely in love. I normally don't read much historical fiction as they can sometimes be very dry, and I was wandering the book store one day and came across a copy of the lion and the rose and it was absolutely wonderful. I cannot wait for The Alice Network, so my question is which did you enjoy writing more The Alice Network where is set during WW1 or the previous novels?
