What process do you use for constructing and pacing your stories?

Glynnis Campbell I'm sort of a half-plotter, half-pantster (writing by the seat of your pants)! I always have a rough outline of my plot points and fairly well-defined characters. From there, I just start telling the story, and if it goes a bit astray, I alter my outline to accommodate. The pacing is mostly instinctive. If I'm getting bored with my plot, so are my readers, so I'll switch the narrative point of view or summarize less exciting parts of the story.
