Time! I had two young children at the time and I was very involved with their lives (my husband traveled a lot) and in exploring various hobbies. I realized that I really couldn't do it all, so I had to whittle down most of my hobbies, and make my children realize that I couldn't be at 100% of their practices and games. It was a juggling act but, like anything that's worthwhile doing, it took some sacrifices and negotiations. I realized early on that I wanted writing to be my career, not another hobby.

I don't have a question Karen, I just wanted to tell you that I am obsessed with your books. I have read 15 or more and naming a favorite would be an impossible task. Even though I'm eager to get to the end of the story to see if my deductions are correct I don't want the story to end. I am currently on the hunt for another of your books to read :) Any new books being released soon?

Just finished Guests on South Battery - first one of Karen's novels I have read. I was wondering why the story line of "Victoria??" whose sister had been murdered and who had uncovered a locket etc.... was totally unfinished - why introduce it and spend a lot of time on it and not finish that story..? I did enjoy the rest of the book although have no belief in ghosts and spirits, etc.
