Hello JL, FYI, I have received this message from Amazon on 31st May "The new version of “The Monet Murders: The Art of Murder Book 2 ” is not yet available. However, if once the update is available you can download a newer version of the book from the Manage Your Content and Devices (www.amazon.com/mycd) page." Dealing w them is a nightmare and I am unable to update to new ed, any advice? ta car

Hi Car, I'm so sorry to hear you're having this difficulty.
The thing is, the correct file was uploaded to Amazon almost immediately because I knew days ahead of time what had happened -- there was simply no way to fix it until the book went live. This is why the problem was ONLY at Amazon. Everywhere else got the correct file.
So the final file was there within hours. Some Customer Service reps seemed able to push those updates through, some seem pretty lost. Amazon sent notices to customers, but even then, there seemed to be difficulty with not everyone receiving a notice or the updates having to be manually pushed through.
There doesn't seem to be any one consistent scenario. Most of the time customer service has been able to help within a couple of minutes, but in a few cases...not.
Honestly, for people like yourself who have tried to work with Amazon, I would suggest returning the book and purchasing from either Smashwords, Kobo, B&N, IBooks, etc. Those epub files should be easy to send to your kindle which should then be able to convert.
Again, I'm truly sorry about the mix-up.

First of all I have enjoyed your books. While I found the Adrien English series often bittersweet, Kit Holmes has made me laugh out loud several times, and I can't think when the last time I audibly laughed while reading. Thank you for bringing him and JX to life. Do you concurrently write several books at once, or do you concentrate on a single work? Is it difficult to slip back into a given series after a break?

Question. Jason fell in love with Bucksner when he was 17 years old while Honey fell in love with Jason, right? I would love to read a little bit about this time, is there any possibility of making it into a novel? (Especially the teenage Jason sounds very interesting.) Also, Jason met Sam in his 20s at this time, right?
