I don't have a question, I just couldn't find any other way to contact you. I have just finished Parting Shot, and I needed to tell you how brilliant it was! One of your best! I wish I was able to articulate how good it was, but I don't have your skill with words; brilliant, superb, tense and throughly enjoyable x Will you come back to England any time soon? Marie
Linwood Barclay
Thanks, Marie, for the kind words! Although details have not been nailed down, I expect I will be in England on a tour next summer, meaning 2018. I don't think I will be getting over again this year. (I was over, briefly, in January, but not for a book tour.) All the best!

Hi, I’ve always wondered, in No Time for Goodbye, did you come up with ‘the other family’ first or Cynthia waking up to find her family gone first? I imagine the two families and then worked backwards.
Also, just thought I’d say love the books, I’m on a non-stop reading fest through them all now

ironically, it was by accident that I found The Accident and WOW! amazing! it is my first Barclay book and hooked on the storytelling, the plot twists, characters, realism, and theme. Also, am starting to read the rest of the novels via my local library (they carry most of the current works). My question, do you think there could be a sequel or sorts to The Accident?

Hi Linwood. We read "Too Close to home" and we are from Australia. I will add "a noise downstairs" to my to-read list. My daughter and granddaughter have purchased 3 of your books ( not sure which ones) and another one of the book club has ordered at least one of yours on kindle. I still have 2 more of yours waiting to be read. I notice you said you are writing the 2019 book. Do you try to write one every year?
