Yes YA, but a good book is a good book, adults will enjoy just as well

My 12 year old girly loved it! She listened to it as an audiobook and thought it was very picturesque!

I was under the impression that it was New Adult.

Yes, YA, but I think the themes of grief and death are ageless. The two main characters are in their last year of school (more or less) but have far more freedom than I would expect (is this an Australian thing?) so it gives the story a more early twenties feel than high school. I listened to the audio version and never really felt like it was a teen book nor really even a YA book. I had a hard time at first with the voice the narrarator used for Henry but got used to it and struggled the whole time with the whispering voice of the mystery letter writer although I understand the choice. Good book.
