Right now I'm reading poetry by contemporary Korean writers. Very beautiful!
Since I'll be writing all summer, I'll be pretty careful about what I read. I'm pretty superstitious about that. I don't want another writer's words to seep into my head even inadvertently. I write about such specific time periods and cultures. I always have to be careful not to write something like "the air was electric between them," in a time when they still didn't have electricity.
