Goodreads asked Robin Goodfellow:

How do you get inspired to write?

Robin Goodfellow I was always a bit of an air-head, even in elementary school. Instead of playing with the other kids, I'd just sit somewhere and read, though my most beloved genres at the time were mysteries, fantasy, and adventure.

When I came into middle school and high school, I developed an odd fascination with fairytales and gothic romances. I enjoyed the imagery I got from them, the feel that there was something nearby, something dark and enchanting. The fact that my teachers fed me poets like Edgar Allen Poe only helped my obsession.
