Is there any list of characters and short bios? I'm getting so confused because it switches back and forth. I'm halfway through the book and still can't tell who is who. I'm on an ereader to so I can't just flip the pages back to remind myself. Annoying!

Tiffany I'll give it a try. (There may be some spoilers but I'll try not to.)

First, there are the women who died in the Drowning Pool. Here they are chronologically by time:

Libby Seeton - murdered in the Drowning Pool a long time ago for being a witch

Lauren Townsend - married mother who died in the Drowning Pool a while ago

Katie Whittaker - 15 year old who died in the Drowning Pool recently

Danielle (Nel) Abbott- single mom who died in the Drowning Pool at the beginning of the book

Here's their families:

Patrick Townsend - husband of Lauren Townsend

Sean Townsend - son of Lauren Townsend, also the town detective

Helen Townsend - daughter-in-law of Lauren Townsend (married to Sean), also the town school principal

Alec Whittaker - father of Katie Townsend (not an important character)

Louise Whittaker - mother of Katie Townsend

Josh Whittaker - 12 year old brother of Katie Townsend

Julia (Jules) Abbott - sister of Danielle (Nel) Abbott

Lena Abbott - 15 year old daughter of Daniele (Nel) Abbott, was best friends with Katie Whittaker

Here are the other main characters:

Erin Morgan - the new-in-town detective, works with Sean Townsend

Mark Henderson - town school teacher, works for Helen Townsend

Nickie Sage - town psychic

Jeannie Sage - Nickie Sage's sister, ex town detective

Robbie Cannon - Danielle (Nel) Abbott's high school boyfriend

Karin Hmm my copy (PAPERBACK May 2018] has a page entitled "The People of Beckford" prior to the first page of the book (after the quotes). But I only referred to it a couple of times in Part I and only because it was there....
