I read a lot! I have quite a large to be read pile which is constantly added to. I just finished reading Abir Mukherjee's excellent historical crime mystery set in India 'A Necessary Evil.' I have on my kindle Red Rising by Pierce Brown, a teen dystopian novel. Deon Meyer's Cobra - a crime series set in South Africa. 'A Great Reckoning' - another brilliant Inspector Gamache novel by Louise Penny ... and I love literary fiction too, so will be looking out for the Man Booker shortlist, some of which I read every year.

Unseemly question for you: did you happen to read The mountain shadow by GD Roberts? I had read Shantaram years ago and I loved it. I was v looking forward to this sequel, and now, barely 200pg into it, I'm trying to understand if I like it as I thought I would or if I'm getting progressively disappointed...what's your view on sequels more in general? thanks in case you made it to here! cheers!
