I get asked to read a lot of pyschological thrillers at the moment so there will definitely be some of those on my reading list. But I'm also looking forward to reading The Little Red Chairs by Edna O'Brien, The Light Between the Oceans by M L Stedman and Three daughters of Eve by Elif Shafak.

My book club just finished reading Behind Closed Doors and we all loved it! I can't wait until our book club meeting to discuss it. One of the questions we will be discussing is which actors we could envision in the movie version. I would love to hear your thoughts on who you think would make an amazing Jack and Grace or a plucky Esther in the movie version?

My question is, has there been a time you've devised that perfect character in some psychotic atmosphere and you echoed the words of Edgar Alan Poe, " I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity?" I ask because your work is so gripping I often lose myself in your books and feel a gratifying sense of insanity after finishing the book. The beauty of temporary escapism is a beautiful affair. Huge fan.
