Hilary Bunlert
Hilary Bunlert asked I.T. Lucas:

I recently read all of your currently available Children of the Gods books and really love them. Are you publishing independently because you did not find a publishing house interested in your books or did you made a conscious decision to publish on your own? What are some of the pluses and minuses of self-publishing in your experience so far?

I.T. Lucas I’ve never even considered the traditional route. My writing doesn't fit their formulas (no more than 2 points of view etc.) and I hated the thought of changing my story to accommodate stale attitudes. I knew some readers would not like it but trusted my instincts that others would appreciate something new and different.
I love the independence of making all the decisions, from choosing models for my covers to marketing and everything in between. The down side is that everything is up to me and there aren't enough hours in the day to do it all. Sometimes I wish I had the luxury of dedicating all my time to writing and having someone else take care of the rest. The problem with that daydream is that publishers no longer do that for authors.
I could go on and on but those are the major points. :)
