Goodreads asked Diego Uribe:

How do you get inspired to write?

Diego Uribe I don't think that I have something specific that inspires me. There's a quote by Picasso that I really like that says "Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working". I think that's it. In order to get inspired you have to work hard, write, every day. You have to do things, live your life. Inspiration can come from any place, something that happened to you during the day, something you saw on the street, a song you were listening, a book you were reading, a movie or a series you were watching, a feeling you had, etc. Inspiration will come then, when you're doing things, and when you write about them. You'll see later if it's good or bad, but you have to keep writing. And when you have a great story, a great message, something that you want to tell the world, that's when you're inspired. And it will be clear for you as it will be for the people who will read it afterwards.
