Is it just me or is Into the Water hard to read because its so jumbled with all characters? I can't grasp the whole plot because I am always confused where its going.

It's a classic example of lazy writing and even lazier publishing, riding on the success of her first novel. I'm glad I borrowed it from the library rather than paying money for it! Far too many characters, poor style with no real differentiation between their voices, and no use of setting. Will be avoiding this author in future.(less)
