Is it just me or is Into the Water hard to read because its so jumbled with all characters? I can't grasp the whole plot because I am always confused where its going.

Would have given it a C- for an assignment in a basic writing class. The style was confusing, there was no need to keep changing each chapter with a different character. This method is used in lots of novels but generally the writer knows what they are doing. Hawkins doesn't. The ending was simply stupid. No tension in this novel. Would make a good Midsommer Murders episode though.(less)
