Is it just me or is Into the Water hard to read because its so jumbled with all characters? I can't grasp the whole plot because I am always confused where its going.

I like to listen to audiobooks because I can do mindless tasks while listening to the book. With this book, that's very hard because I have to make a conscious effort to attempt to understand who is talking and remember who they are again in the story. I'm curious if any readers had better luck with reading the physical book?(less)
