Is it just me or is Into the Water hard to read because its so jumbled with all characters? I can't grasp the whole plot because I am always confused where its going.

I had to keep going back to see what date I was reading about because it jumped aorund and it didn't make sense. It took way too long for the story to come together.I just have never understood how it became a best seller and they even made a movie out of it. I decided I didn't like her as a writer so I decided I didn't care if I read this one. (less)
