Is it just me or is Into the Water hard to read because its so jumbled with all characters? I can't grasp the whole plot because I am always confused where its going.

Had no trouble thereafter. SPOILER: I think the author deliberately ended the book with doubts whether Patrick was actually covering for his son Sean.(less)
