Is it just me or is Into the Water hard to read because its so jumbled with all characters? I can't grasp the whole plot because I am always confused where its going.

I did however find it very difficult to follow the plot line and I had to force myself to finish it. I though the girl on the train was just written in a choppy style due to the narrator's drunkenness, but it seems to be Hawkins style... not sure how to feel about it.(less)
