Is it just me or is Into the Water hard to read because its so jumbled with all characters? I can't grasp the whole plot because I am always confused where its going.

I was so intent on staying with this book and keeping track that I started a list of characters and used it as my bookmark. It was a good overall read but you have to keep track of the characters in order to figure out the twist and appreciate the story.(less)

memorized who was who.
