How do you develop your characters? Do you take extensive notes beforehand or do you go with the flow or spirit of the moment?

Vania Rheault I know what they look like from the minute I think about them, but I don't get to know them until I'm writing about them. Bits and pieces of their backstory and their hopes and fears seep into the story through dialogue as I write. So I go with the flow, let them reveal themselves to the other characters in the story.
