This is terrible, but I don't quite remember! I suppose the idea of wraithlike or demonlike creatures is not really new. (In fantasy, we're often borrowing from some of the same myths and legends, consciously or unconsciously.) I wanted the thrones to be cursed, and somehow got the idea for these bloodthirsty shadows. The word Minax comes from Latin ("threatening; boding ill; menacing.")

I am super psyched for Nightblood to come out (I'm not very patient when it comes to release dates for books :) I wanted to ask you when the Novellas come out and also could you tell me if there will be more Ruby/Arcus moments in Nightblood?
