I'm sorry if it Is a spoiler but does the guinea pig end up okay? I dislike animal death in books.

Sooner or later, children are bound to experience the death of a pet, or even simply to witness a dead animal alongside the road, and have questions about it. Ignoring the fact of death won’t make it go away. When handled tactfully, a good author can help us all learn to cope with it. That said, I’m glad Gulliver was still chirping happily at the end of this one! (less)
