I get ideas everywhere--songs, people watching, visiting historical sites. I've probably lost half of my ideas, though, because I will write them on receipts, napkins, church bulletins. I have little books to keep my ideas in, but then I lose the little books. Eventually those ideas come back around.

Do you have a definite day or time scheduled to sit and write or are you an on the go writer? Is it better for example to write while at the airport or at a kids' sporting event or while waiting at the doctor appointment in the waiting room?
