Jaimie asked:

Am I the only one who's mad that the release was pushed back one whole year because of some stupid story about CHAOL?? Sorry, but I just don't care enough about him to want to read a whole book from his annoying, preachy perspective. I want the real story.

Emmysoo Tower of Dawn actually adds so much to the plot. There are MAJOR plot twists. When I started to read it, I didn't know what I was expecting but I finished satisfied. Online, when people are theorizing it's really obvious if they've read it or not. I think that when we read Kingdom of Ash, a lot of people who haven't read Tower of Dawn will be really confused. They'll understand eventually but I do think that Tower of Dawn adds value to the series.
Book_Lover This book actually made me like Chaol even more than I did before. I felt the same way but in the end I ended up really liking this book.
Alexandra Argent It is very important to the series and it has good action.
Laura Andersen Yes, i LOVE Chaol he is my favorit character i the whole book, and has been from book one. I would love to read a hole series of books just about him. Everybody should read that book!
Sue I must admit that I was not thrilled about the prospect of a book just about Chaol, but actually really enjoyed it. It does add a lot to the story and anyone deciding to miss Tower of Dawn will be missing out on so much.
KateR. I skipped ToD completely upon first reading the series. I just looked up the info I needed OL before reading KoA and did not feel I missed anything.

However as I am now re-reading the series I'm considering interspersing this one along with EoS- forcing the two books to combine into one story, as they really should have been from the start. Either that, or I may just x-ray all instances wherein Aelin or Celaena are mentioned, as I still have no interest in pathetic Chaol's story but would like to know more about Yrene after reading the Assasin's Blade prequels.
Lotte The actual information about the valg and Maeve was interesting, and I liked Yrene, but through most of the book I was a bit bored
Olivia I was also annoyed because I didn't care about Chaol or Nesryn at all and I didn't want to read a whole book about them. I resigned myself to just skimming it but I actually got really into it. It has more cool worldbuilding, some critical info, and at least one more awesome new character. I still don't like Chaol or Nesryn but it was a good story. It also adds a lot of context and background information to characters in Kingdom of Ash.
nitya Actually, I felt the same way at first... I thought reading Tower of Dawn wouldn't be good because I didn't like Chaol as a person, I felt he betrayed Aelin horribly. Really, Tower of Dawn is such a good book. I felt it really tied together loose ends. I try recommending this series to every possible person who asks, it's such a good series, and usually, I dislike long series. But the books get better as you keep reading, it's unbelieve.
Alison♊⚜️✨ Yeah I was kinda pissed too when I heard that, and that in the end, the Chaol book ended up being a whole book of 660 pages and not like a 200 pages novella. It would been better to like, add some chapters from Chaol's POV in EoS. Also, apparently, its not that contributory whatsoever to the EoS plot and therefore, not very useful in the least.
