What was the hardest part of writing your book?

Lurlene McDaniel For me hardest part is starting a new book project. I must plan out the plot so that I I have enough plot points to sustain the story. And I must "get acquainted" with a new set of characters, fall in love with them and get them to "talk" to me. I fell hard for Jon Mercer in YEAR OF LUMINOUS LOVE and YEAR OF CHASING DREAMS, and found it difficult to get him out of my head and heart when I began book 3 in the Windemere series.

I loved the One Last Wish Foundation but my favorite was the Dawn Rochelle series. I always wanted to know how her life ended up and I was glad when you wrote To Live Again. You inspired me to become a writer after I read your books. Was it difficult to become a writer when you're first book was published? What inspired you to want to write stories for us?
