what are the qualities for a writer to have? as i myself am really into writing and i would really want to know what makes an author successful in this career? and i would want to share some of my ideas to you, if you have some time?

Glynnis Campbell Mostly what a writer has is a love of writing! Oftentimes people confuse wanting to be a writer with wanting fame or money or bestseller status. If you go into writing with that goal, you're bound to fail or at least make yourself miserable from the pursuit. You have to write for the joy of it, for the genuine pleasure of stringing words together and expressing your feelings to others in that way. Aside from that passion, persistence is important, as well as having a good suit of armor for those inevitable rejections.
