Maureen answers “At the end of the book there is a passage...”

At the end of the book there is a passage that says "In ten years' time two of them will be playing professionally. One will be a dad. One will be dead." I must have missed something because I don't know who dies. Can anyone clarify for me? Thanks.

Benji always flirts with danger and does drugs so he could have the best chance of dying, we get to fill in the blanks. Benji definitely could have been a pro and the one who dies seeing his photo was on TV.

Kevin was not killed by Maya, just frightened intentionally so he had to leave with that fear. Kevin was not included in the four who the author spoke of in ten years. (less)
