At the end of the book there is a passage that says "In ten years' time two of them will be playing professionally. One will be a dad. One will be dead." I must have missed something because I don't know who dies. Can anyone clarify for me? Thanks.

David leaves puck on Benji's dad's gravestone which he knows will be visited regularly by him. He reiterates his past statement about him being the bravest bastard...
He says this again to him by way of the puck after he knows his sexual identity and acknowledges this makes no difference to who he is or how he sees him today (he is alive). He becomes a pro hockey player along with Amat. Bobo is clearly the dad which is foreshadowed by his being a virgin and wanting to save himself. And that leaves....(less)
